On Sunday, Feb. 19, at 6 p.m., Ivo DaSilva-Oliveira struck two women, ages 55 and 77, with his vehicle at the intersection of Belgrove Drive and Wilkinson Terrace, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. DaSilva-Oliveira then left the scene, Suarez said. Both women were transported to University Hospital for treatment, Suarez said.

DaSilva-Oliveira was charged with knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle collision resulting in serious bodily injury, two counts of endangering an injured person and causing injury as an unlicensed driver, Suarez said. He was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus and released pending his first court appearance, Suarez said.
